Chase Reviews
I have had great experience with chase for the past 4 years. I absolutely love their online banking which provides quick access to my checking account.Paying bills online is so easy and convinient. Best of all it's free of charge as long as you have direct deposit.
I had Bank One checking. Bank One was great, but Chase took over. Chase did such a poor job that I left. I had the Bank One account for years. When Chase took over I kept getting poor service. They also kept sending me crap about credit cards that I didn't want.
Chase is a great bank if you don't have a problem. Once you have a problem it is almost impossible to fix - especially if it has to do with your credit report. They are easy to get a credit card through and will give you some good interest rates.
I've been with chase for over 7 years now and I rarely have had any problems with them. I have a checking and 2 credit cards with them. One big problem I was having with Chase is that since I moved to the West coast there was no way to do banking in person because there wasn't any branches in the city I lived in. Since the Buy out of WaMu I know hae ATM that I can use fee free. I could never us…e ATMs because I would get the bank fee and Chase's 2.50 fee, which I find insanely high! Overall Chase takes care of customers.

Chase is a great bank that offers wonderful credit cards. I received a low interest rate. They are willing to work with you if you are unable to make a payment from time to time. They are one of the strongest banks in america (in my opinion).
I have held a Chase card for over 6 years and when closing out the balance 6 months ago, I was given a final payment amount, which I made. 1 month later, I was assessed a late fee on the account because of a charge from Chase that didn't show up until after the account was closed. An interest charge. Not a very honest way to do business.
Chase used to be a great bank when I first signed up with them. Then they started hitting me with several service fees, and when I called to ask why, they didn't have an answer. They removed the fees, but I have to call back every few months when they do it again. I'll be switching banks soon!
Chase is an ok bank. I've used it for the past 9 years, mostly because they have the most ATMs in NYC. However, they are definitely not the most competitive on rates for savings or interest rates on loans, so I go elsewhere for that stuff. Their online interface is pretty good, although sometimes confusing to set up automatic payments. They do love to charge you with hidden fees though! I …signed up for wesabe.com and Chase started charging me $9.95 a month for the data feed sent to Wesabe. Needless to say, I canceled my wesabe account right away. The same would hold true for Quicken users. Not all banks charge for this data feed, but Chase is one of them.

As a non New Yorker who has Chase, I struggle to find ATMs (even though I have a branch 2 blocks from my apartment in semi-urban wisconsin) for Chase in Milwaukee. I would suggest the credit for moderate spenders, but use an online savings account (from someone else) for the majority of your money.
Chase has been my bank of choice for the past 8 years in New York City. Flexible network of ATMs, branch locations, and solid customer service (both in person & via telephone) have kept me satisfied over time. Couple the interactive ease of their website for Checking, Savings, & wire transfers and you have a winner.
